Sharks storm to first away win

Despite the appalling conditions, the sides managed to produce a total of five tries in an entertaining match that gives the Sharks their first away win of the season to date.

After a strong start from Wasps, with fly-half Alex King kicking an early penalty and Shane Roiser going over for a try, the Sharks kept themselves in contention through the boot of Nick Walshe.

Then, with their early nerves seemingly settled, the Sharks found their rhythm, second rows Dean Schofield and Chris Jones crashing over for tries either side of the break and wingers Steve Hanley and Mark Cueto grabbing one try apiece to seal the win for their side.

Scorers:

Wasps:Tries: Roiser.Cons: King.Pens: King (2), Van Gisbergen (4).

Sharks:Tries: Schofield, Jones, Hanley, Cueto. Cons: Walshe (3). Pens: Walshe (2).
