Without the injured Charlie Hodgson and England fullback Jason Robinson, the Sharks flew out of the blocks with three tries in the first ten minutes, Dan Harris’ score in the opening minute followed up by two quickfire efforts from powerful wing Steve Hanley.
Saracens hit back via England Sevens star Richard Haughton, but with Australian back-row Stu Pinkerton grabbing the home side’s fourth in only the 24th minute to secure the bonus point, the result was rarely in doubt.
Vaughan Going further extended the lead minutes after the break, but Saracens did manage two second-half efforts of their own, Ben Johnston and Christian Califano crossing the line, although the London club did not have any points to show for their efforts.
