Secondary school teacher Andy Golding is praying for a Bath Rugby v Exeter Chiefs Aviva Premiership Rugby Final after winning tickets to the showpiece event.
Andy was attending Bath’s 12-3 victory over Sale Sharks at the Rec when he decided to take part in the Aviva Premiership 'Grab a Ticket' competition, where contestants enter an inflatable dome and try to catch as many paper tickets as possible in a 30-second time limit.
The 25-year-old is glad he did, as it turns out he had topped the charts and will now be heading to Twickenham on May 30.
But while the Kingdown School teacher was cheering on his local team Bath as they triumphed over Sale last Friday, he is originally from Yeovil and considers himself to be an Exeter Chiefs fan.
And with both Bath and Chiefs lying in the top four in the Aviva Premiership Rugby table, Andy still has a chance of attending his dream final when he makes his way down to Rugby HQ for the big showdown.
“I’m definitely hoping for an Exeter v Bath final,” he revealed.
“I went to the Aviva Premiership Rugby final last year but hopefully this year I’ll get a chance to watch one of the teams I support lift the trophy.
“I told a few of my sixth formers that I’d won the tickets and they were pretty impressed.
“I think my dad’s coming to the final with me, which will be great because he’s the one who got me into the rugby in the first place.”
The 'Grab a Ticket' machine will have visited all 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs by the end of the season so don’t miss out on your chance to attend rugby’s biggest game of the year.
