Rob Miller and Josh Bassett both touched down twice as Wasps saw off Leicester in a high scoring Anglo-Welsh Cup clash.
Leicester went into the game knowing they needed to score 13 tries to guarantee progression in the competition – but they came up against a Wasps side with a point to prove following last week’s heavy defeat by London Irish.
Leicester started well and scored the first try of the match when Luke Hamilton was finally able to breach the Wasps’ defence and George Worth added the extras.
But Wasps hit back almost straight away through Marcus Watson who was able to dart between two players to score from a Jacob Umaga pass, with the fly half edging the hosts ahead with the conversion.

Miller then scored two quick tries to give Wasps a commanding 19-7 lead with just a quarter of the game gone.
And they extended their lead further when Marcus Garratt went over form close range off the back of a ruck.
But Leicester were not done and two quick tries from Harry Simmons got them back into the game.
Wasps pushed on in the second half and scored the first try with Craig Hampson going over before good footwork from Umaga saw him burst over the line before adding the conversion.
Leicester’s only score of the second half came through Jonah Holmes with Worth adding the extras.
Two late tries from Josh Bassett wrapped up the victory for Wasps and put a half century on the scoreboard and denied Leicester a place in the semi-finals.
