Gilbert Golden Boot

Gilbert Golden Boot

When it comes to the crunch in Aviva Premiership Rugby, it is often the goal kickers that make all the difference. They have huge pressure on their shoulders – their attempts at goal can be the difference between victory and defeat.

But with the glory of a successful kick comes the extra bonus – moving up the Gilbert Golden Boot standings. The Golden Boot is awarded to the highest scoring kicker in Aviva Premiership Rugby, and has been won by some major names.

Last years’ winner Gareth Steenson helped take his Exeter Chiefs all the way to the Premiership Rugby Final, while other former winners include England star George Ford, Australian legend Michael Lynagh and Andy Goode.

The race for the boot is well underway, and now Gilbert are launching their annual competition.

You and a friend could be at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final on Saturday 27th May at Twickenham Stadium. On top of this you’ll receive a Gilbert Rugby playing shirt and a Gilbert Match-XV rugby ball signed by the Gilbert Golden Boot winner himself.

To enter, simply select the player that you think will win the Gilbert Golden Boot below, and type the points haul you think they will achieve.

If more than one person chooses the winning player then the tiebreaker will be used. If two or more people choose the correct player and the correct total, the winner will be drawn at random between those people.

The competition closes on 27th March 2017.
