The Premiership Rugby spotlight will shine brightly on our community work this weekend as Round 12 of Gallagher Premiership Rugby (5-7 March) is dedicated to celebrating the amazing work by our community teams in delivering our award-winning community programmes up and down the country.

Across the league, more than 250,000 people benefit annually from programmes that are run both centrally by Premiership Rugby and our clubs, showing our commitment to changing people’s lives through rugby.

This weekend we have asked each of our clubs to nominate an inspirational person who has seen their life transformed by being part of either our Project Rugby or HITZ programmes.

Wayne Morris, the Community & Corporate Social Responsibility Director at Premiership Rugby said: “If people like those who feature in our 12 stories want to reach for the stars then we will be there to help them every step of the way.

“Building confidence and ambition within people is a key objective of our programmes, whether it is through Project Rugby, HITZ or Tackling Health.

“Premiership Rugby’s programmes, which are run across England by all the Premiership clubs, succeed because they use rugby’s core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship to support people to make positive changes in their life.

“None of this would be possible without the support of our partners, and our clubs who deliver the programmes within their local communities. Together we make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

“Gallagher partner with us and England Rugby to help Project Rugby inspire change in people across England, while HITZ is supported by the CVC Foundation, Land Rover, Wooden Spoon and SCL Education.”
