Premiership Rugby and our clubs take our responsibility in the community very seriously and we are committed to bring about societal change and have made the establishment of a community programme part of the Minimum Standards Criteria for entering Gallagher Premiership Rugby.
We are proud to say that around 250,000 young people participate in Premiership Rugby and club-funded projects annually.
Our flagship programme is Project Rugby, is run by Premiership Rugby at our clubs in collaboration with Gallagher, England Rugby and is designed to increase participation in the game by people from traditionally underrepresented groups. Project Rugby was extended in April 2022 to bring young women and girls from diverse backgrounds into rugby in partnership with the Asian Sports Foundation.

The League and its clubs through our “Plan to Improve A Million Lives” strategy now support a range of initiatives aimed at improving sports participation, physical and mental health, educational attainment, employment opportunities and community cohesion.

Defender Premiership Rugby Cup
The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup is a series of national grassroots rugby festivals for U11 and U12 rugby teams. Run in conjunction with all twelve Premiership Rugby clubs, the regional rugby events are an essential part of the UK rugby calendar.
International
This unique programme supports the development of the game in the US by empowering coaches through immersive professional development experiences in England.
Project Rugby
This programme is designed to increase participation in the game by people from traditionally underrepresented groups.
Move Like A Pro
Move Like A Pro is a 12-week programme designed by Premiership Rugby’s professional rugby coaches for people who aren’t currently particularly active, inspiring a legacy of long-term lifestyle change across the rugby fan community.
Our HITZ programme
HITZ is Premiership Rugby’s award-winning education and employability programme which works with over 2,000 14-18 year-olds across England every year.
Tackling Health
Premiership Rugby’s Tackling Health programme is an interactive project for children aged seven - eight which takes a holistic approach to teaching children about their own health, well-being and about leading a healthy lifestyle with a rugby focus.
