BT Sport showing live Premiership Rugby 7s action

Stars of the future will once again be on show as the Premiership Rugby 7s returns, and you can catch every minute live on BT Sport.

The Olympic-style tournament is a breeding ground for the next generation of Gallagher Premiership Rugby greats and will be staged at Franklin’s Gardens, home of Northampton Saints, for the third year in a row.

BT Sport are bringing you every game live, with their coverage starting at 5.15pm on Friday ahead of the curtain-raiser between London Irish and Gloucester Rugby at 5.30pm.

Saracens are the team to beat, warding off Wasps 33-12 in last year’s Final, and they feature twice on opening day against Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors.

Wasps, tournament winners in 2016 and 2017, open up against Bath Rugby in the second game of the tournament before taking on old rivals Leicester Tigers. Northampton Saints will be backed by a partisan home crowd and their opening assignments are Bristol Bears and Harlequins.

Then the teams go again for a crunch Saturday when the prizes are given out and the tenth winner of the Premiership Rugby 7s will be crowned.

BT Sport’s coverage begins at 2.15pm, with quarter-finals underway from 2.30pm.

With more than 40 players having gone on from the tournament to play international rugby, there’s no excuse to miss a moment of the action.

But if you do, Channel 5 have you covered with full highlights from Franklin’s Gardens from midnight on Monday.
