How social media reacted to the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final

It was a Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final that had everything but ultimately culminated in Saracens’ retention of the crown.

Exeter could not have hoped for a better start as Nic White dotted down the fastest-ever try in a Premiership Rugby Final but you can never count Saracens out.

Mark McCall’s men allowed the challengers to stretch a lead out to 11 points before they really dug deep and found tries through Liam Williams, Sean Maitland and Jamie George to produce the biggest comeback in the history of the showpiece.

Chiefs kept it dramatic right until the death with a try in the final minute but it wasn’t enough as Saracens made it a European and domestic double with a 37-34 victory.

Exeter tell Saracens what they really think…

And Gareth Steenson was still smiling despite the result…

Meanwhile the ‘Big Chief’ was making his voice heard…

These ladies got their knickers in right twist over it all…

And there is no rest for the wicked eh?…
