Morahan back for West Country derby
Luke Morahan returns from injury to start in the highly anticipated West Country derby versus Gloucester on Friday (7.45pm KO).
The Australian winger – who has been unavailable with a facial laceration is one of five changes to the side that picked up a valuable bonus point against Harlequins.
Andy Uren is the only other change to the backline, while Yann Thomas and Harry Thacker return to the front row in the pack.
Dan Thomas is selected in the back row as Bristol Bears return to Ashton Gate for the visit of the Cherry and Whites.
Alapati Leiua will serve a four-week suspension and is available to play again from 2 April 2019.
Head coach Lam said: “We will be spurred on by a massive home crowd and that’s a tremendous boost to the team.
“The atmosphere and occasion of a derby day is always passionate, but it’s important that we retain our focus and composure when the pressure is on. We are close to being excellent, but we have to keep striving for consistency.
“We believe in what we are trying to do and we trust the process. When we execute well, we know that we can be a threat to any team in the Gallagher Premiership.”
Jack Lam returns to the 23-man squad as part of the replacements, while Mat Protheroe could make his first Premiership outing at Ashton Gate if he features.
