Sale Sharks’ Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “I expect the Warriors to do well under the guidance of Alan Solomons and the new coaching regime at Sixways.

“They traditionally have a good pack of forwards and a threat from scrum half. They are strong through their midfield and have an exciting back three.

“It’s been a hardworking, difficult week after our performance at Harlequins. However, our senior players grasped the nettle and have delivered in training. Hopefully, this will transfer onto the pitch on Sunday.

“This is our first home match, and it’s important that we get off to a good start.”
