Referees ready for Premiership Rugby Cup semi-finals

The final four sides in the Premiership Rugby Cup will face off this weekend – and the men who will be officiating the two semi-final clashes have been confirmed.

Worcester Warriors and Saracens will open the weekend’s action on Friday night at Sixways Stadium after they secured high-scoring wins in Round 4’s ‘Derby Day’ to progress.

The two sides played out a 34-22 thriller at Allianz Park earlier in the competition, but the Warriors will have home advantage this time and Christophe Ridley will be overseeing the match. Anthony Woodthorpe and Wayne Falla will be alongside him, with Trevor Fisher on TMO duty.

The second semi-final will take place on Saturday lunchtime as Newcastle Falcons travel to Northampton Saints, with Craig Maxwell-Keys the man in the middle.

Despite their indifferent Gallagher Premiership Rugby form, both clubs have performed strongly in the revamped Premiership Rugby Cup, with Newcastle beating Exeter Chiefs in Round 1 and Saints putting seven tries past Leicester Tigers in Round 4.

Maxwell-Keys will be supported by assistant referees Nigel Yates and Tim Wigglesworth at Franklin’s Gardens alongside TMO Stuart Terheege.
