Ian Tempest on the whistle for Premiership Rugby Cup Final
As fans eagerly await the Premiership Rugby Cup Final clash between Saracens and Northampton Saints this Sunday, one set of officials have an important job on their hands for what is likely to be a thrilling encounter at Franklin’s Gardens.
The experienced Ian Tempest – who has refereed 57 Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches – will be the man in the middle as the destination of the first XVs silverware of the season is decided.
He will be ably assisted by Wayne Falla and Paul Dix, while Trevor Fisher takes on the TMO role, having operated from the studio for the majority of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby season.

Saracens are in stellar form in the League – although they now sit eight points behind leaders Exeter Chiefs – and ran out comfortable 36-17 winners against the Saints two weeks ago.
Their opponents have suffered back-to-back losses but have home advantage and their excellent Premiership Rugby Cup form has been predicated on a rampant attack – most recently, a barnstorming 59-33 victory over Newcastle Falcons in the semi-finals.
