Gallagher Premiership Round 15 social media preview

Gallagher Premiership Rugby returns with a bang as new leaders Exeter Chiefs will hope to maintain their slender lead over second-placed Saracens.

A packed fixture list sees the weekend start off with tonight’s derby between Bristol Bears and a Gloucester Rugby side hunting a top four place.

Newly-promoted Bears haven’t yet won in 2019, while Gloucester will be confident after beating the top two sides in consecutive games.

A crucial Saturday includes crunch matches for both Exeter and Saracens as they take on the Sale Sharks and Northampton Saints respectively.

Sharks have been solid defensively in recent weeks – with the exception of a 67-17 defeat to Saints, who themselves have scored at least 27 points in each of their last five games.

Fellow semi-final challengers Harlequins face a tough trip to Bath Rugby, while Leicester Tigers and Wasps will look to consolidate their mid-table positions with a win as they face off.

Harlequins will be looking for their fifth win in a row while an inconsistent Leicester will host a Wasps side who have only won one of their last six games.

Newcastle Falcons and Worcester Warriors will close off the action-packed fixture list as the bottom-placed Falcons – having lost their last five – desperately seek a win to close the gap at the bottom.
