Tempest in charge for Wasps clash with Saracens as match officials confirmed

After contrasting results last weekend Wasps and Saracens go head-to-head at Allianz Park on Sunday with referee Ian Tempest set to take charge.

It will be Tempest’s 36th game as a referee at this level while Paul Dix and Nigel Carrick will be operating as his assistant referees for the weekend’s clash.

Sean Davey will be on hand as the TMO with Paul Hull as Citing Commissioner in what is expected to be another huge game of Aviva Premiership Rugby.

The weekend’s action begins on BT Sport when Harlequins welcome Sale to the Twickenham Stoop where Matthew Carley will be the man in the middle.

There are four matches kicking off at 3pm on Saturday with the experienced Wayne Barnes taking charge of Gloucester Rugby against Northampton Saints at Kingsholm.

Barnes will be one game away from Chris White’s record of 190 Premiership matches at the end of the weekend, a record he could match at the end of this month.

Elsewhere, Luke Pearce has the whistle for Bath Rugby’s match against Worcester Warriors while Andrew Jackson takes control of Newcastle Falcons’ trip to Exeter Chiefs.

And finally, JP Doyle will be in front of the BT Sport cameras at the Madejski Stadium, as Leicester Tigers meet London Irish in Reading.
