There was no shortage of drama as the European pool stages reached a thrilling finale.

Champions Cup holders Saracens squeezed through to the quarter-finals and there’s plenty to play for in the Challenge Cup for Gloucester Rugby and Newcastle Falcons.

Social media was awash with adoring rugby fans and players reacting to the thrills and spills over the weekend.

Saracens cruised a stunning victory over fellow Aviva Premiership Rugby side Northampton Saints and there was plenty of celebrations following the triumph.
