Saracens name team to face Dragons in the Anglo-Welsh Cup

Saracens have named their team for the round three Anglo-Welsh Cup clash with Dragons at Allianz Park on Saturday, kick off 15H00.

Saturday’s team will be headed up by Academy coach Adam Powell, who takes the reigns for the Anglo-Welsh competition, and Powell has named a young squad to face the Welsh region.

Up front Powell blends youth and experience in the pack with Welsh international Dominic Day making his return from injury to start in the second row where he is partnered by Mark Flanagan. After making an impressive debut from the bench last weekend Sione Vailanu starts at 8. Academy players Jack Nay and Ben Earl join Vailanu in the back row with Earl captaining the side.

On the wing Academy member Oli Morris, who will make his club debut on Saturday, lines up alongside Rotimi Segun. Matt Gallagher starts at fullback with Nick Tompkins and Reuben Bird-Tulloch making up the centre pairing. Max Malins starts at 10 and is partnered in the halves by Tom Whiteley.
