Sharks’ Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “I don’t think that anyone could deny that Saracens are the model that we all aspire to emulate.
They have been fantastically successful – both on and off the field – for several seasons now and they have become the benchmark by which every other club should be measured.
Under Mark McCall’s astute leadership, Saracens have an unbelievable coaching staff and have also assembled a fantastic squad of players.
They are again going really well this season, both domestically in the Premiership, where they are now hard on the heels of Exeter, as well as in Europe where Sarries are the only English club to have qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Champions Cup.
It’s always a great occasion when you play against Saracens as you are up against world-class players.”
