Sale Sharks make just four changes to their starting team for the European Challenge Cup game against State Toulousain at the Stade Ernest Wallon on Saturday, kick off 18:00 CET (17:00 GMT).
Josh Charnley, Luke James, Alexandru Tarus and Josh Beaumont are named in the fifteen. Full back Mike Haley, aged 23, will be making his 100th appearance for the club.
Sharks’ Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “What we’ve got to do is carry on from where we have been, defensively. I thought we took our opportunities well at the weekend and what we need to do is carry on in that same vein.
Looking ahead to the trip to the Stade Ernest Wallon, where the Sharks will take on one of the giants of French rugby, the Sale boss said the message to his players would be a simple one.
“We want to go out to Toulouse and win – we’re not going out there to make the numbers up. I don’t want a Leicester result on our hands, given what happened to them last weekend away at Castres.
“That knocks your confidence and where the belief has come from has been in winning.”
