Garvey to make 100th appearance for Bath Rugby against Leicester Tigers

Bath Rugby captain Matt Garvey will make his 100th appearance for Bath Rugby against Leicester Tigers in the Anglo-Welsh Cup at the Recreation Ground tomorrow evening, kick-off 19:45.

Garvey, who made his Club debut in 2013 against Newcastle Falcons, captains the side from the back row, where he will be joined by Josh Bayliss and Paul Grant.

New signing, Max Green, will make his starting debut, having come on as a replacement in the win over London Irish last Saturday. He forms a new half-back partnership with Freddie Burns, who starts against his former club under the Friday night lights at the Rec.

In the backline Tom Homer makes his first appearance of the season at fullback, with Levi Davis, a try scorer on his debut last weekend and Jack Wilson occupying the wing positions. Matt Banahan and Max Clark combine in the midfield.

Scott Andrews returns at tighthead prop, packing down with Nick Auterac and Michael van Vuuren in the front row. Levi Douglas and James Phillips form an unchanged second row paring, as the squad look to make it two wins out of two this season against Matt O’Connor’s side.

Unavailable for selection: Dave Attwood, Ross Batty, Chris Cook, Tom Ellis, Taulupe Faletau, Jonathan Joseph, Shaun Knight, Max Lahiff, Josh Lewis, Francois Louw, Kane Palma-Newport, Rhys Priestland, Semesa Rokoduguni, Henry Thomas, Sam Underhill, Anthony Watson, Jeff Williams, Max Wright.
