After another thrilling round of Aviva Premiership Rugby the top flight takes a break as European rugby takes centre stage.
All seven Aviva Premiership Rugby sides in the European Champions Cup will feature on television with Gloucester Rugby taking centre stage in the European Challenge Cup on the box.
Wasps will take part in the curtain-raiser as they travel to the Kingspan Stadium to take on Ulster on Friday 13th October.
Last season’s league runners-up have hoisted the trophy twice in 2004 and 2007 but last season fell short in the quarter-finals, losing 32-17 to Leinster.
Their clash with Ulster, who won the tournament in 1999, will be on BT Sport 2 from 7pm.
There’s an all-England clash to whet the appetite on Sunday as two-time defending champions Saracens head to Franklin’s Gardens to take on Northampton Saints.
Saints will no doubt be smarting from their opening day defeat at Twickenham and be on the hunt for revenge in their pool opener.
You have to go back to April 18, 2015, for the last time Saracens lost in this competition, that was to Clermont in the semi-finals.
Northampton will entertain Saracens on BT Sport 2 with the programme starting at 5pm.
Elsewhere in the Champions Cup, Leicester Tigers head to Racing 92 where the sides will face each other for a third season running with the match being shown on BT Sport 2 from 3pm.
Last season’s Aviva Premiership Rugby champions Exeter Chiefs begin their campaign against Guinness PRO14 high-flyers Glasgow Warriors on BT Sport 2 from 7.30pm.
Bath Rugby will host Benetton Rugby from 5.25pm on Sky Sports Arena and Harlequins entertain Champions Cup newcomers La Rochelle on Sky Sports Action from 5pm.
Gloucester will kick off the European rugby season when they travel to Top 14 side Pau on Thursday night.
The Cherry & Whites fell agonisingly short of European glory last season when they were undone by Stade Français 25-17 in the final in Edinburgh.
They head to the Stade du Hameau and you can catch all the match action on Sky Sports Main Event from 7pm.
