Aviva Premiership Rugby stars back in Six Nations action

Aviva Premiership Rugby may be back this weekend but the Six Nations is in full swing and packed full of Premiership stars.

Many of them will wear the white of England this weekend but Wales and Scotland both have Premiership players flying the flag.

With England hosting Wales and Scotland playing France, there is sure to be a bumper weekend of top-level rugby and here is who you can watch in action.

Joseph and Watson bromance restored

As ever there are 15 Aviva Premiership players in the England side but one Bath Rugby player has captured all the headlines.

Jonathan Joseph joins clubmate Anthony Watson in England’s starting XV to face Wales at Twickenham on Saturday.

Joseph had been a replacement in the opening fixture against Italy, but starts at 13, with Worcester Warriors’ Ben Te’o dropping to the bench.

Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care also starts in place of the injured Ben Youngs, and is one of three Quins players in the squad alongside Chris Robshaw at openside flanker and full-back Mike Brown.

Brown forms part of an exciting back three, with wing Watson scoring two tries in England’s 46-15 opening weekend win over Italy and Jonny May – who has been electric for Leinster Tigers.

Adams out to break England’s hearts

After an impressive debut in Wales’ 34-7 win over Scotland, Worcester Warriors wing Josh Adams will start against England.

The Aviva Premiership’s top try scorer with nine, Adams will be keen to open his account for Wales on Saturday.

Gloucester back row Ross Moriarty will join Adams in the starting XV for his 19th cap against the country he represented at Under-20s.

Tomos Francis of Exeter Chiefs takes his place once again among the replacements, and should he be called upon may find himself up against club colleagues Alec Hepburn, Harry Williams and Sam Simmonds in the scrum, with Chiefs wing Jack Nowell on England’s bench.

Sean’s Scotland ready to fizz

Saracens speedster Sean Maitland has been promoted to the starting XV for Scotland’s clash against France at BT Murrayfield.

The wing had been a replacement in Scotland’s 34-7 opening weekend defeat to Wales, and comes into replace Sales Sharks flyer Byron McGuigan who is ruled out through injury.

Worcester Warriors David Denton joins Newcastle Falcon Chris Harris on the replacements bench and both will be looking to make a big impact if called upon.
