It was also the highest attendance for a single round since Boxing Day, with 74,542 supporters coming through the turnstiles, including 16,428 for the first ever Premiership Rugby match at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.
Just 14 regular season matches remain before the Aviva Premiership Rugby semi-final, including Tuesday night’s encounter between the third and fourth placed teams; Gloucester Rugby and Northampton Saints at Kingsholm.
