Henson set to make Saracens debut at Wembley

Gavin Henson is set to make his Saracens debut at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 26th December after been named on the bench for the Aviva Premiership clash against Wasps.

The Wales and British Lions international is set for his first rugby action in nearly 20 months in the round 11 clash at the world famous stadium.

In other team news, Deon Carstens, Carlos Nieto, Ernst Joubert and captain Steve Borthwick all return to the starting line-up for Saracens’ sixth clash at Wembley.

On the bench, Alex Goode returns after missing the past four weeks with injury to be alongside Henson, Andy Saull and Richard Wigglesworth while props Rhys Gill and Petrus du Plessis, who started in last week’s win at Racing Metro, revert to be among the replacements.

While other grounds around the country are struggling to beat the weather, the pitch at Wembley is in perfect condition and the game goes ahead as planned.

The pre-game show – starring Eliza Doolittle – starts at 13h45, and tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or at 0844 846 2482. Alternatively, tickets will be available on the day from the East Ticket Office.
