Home Grown Crop Set To Challenge For Leeds Carnegie

Leeds Carnegie’s squad for this Saturday’s opening game of the LV Cup in Llanelli against the Scarlets includes 13 players who have come through the club’s Academy structure.

In the starting line up the second row sees the two debutants in the side with Dominic Barrow and James Craig alongside each other. 17-year-old Barrow will become the first to debut for the club who was born after the club was formed in 1992.

Kearnan Myall will captain the side for the first time in a pack where only Mike MacDonald and Alfie To’oala are not from the Academy.

The bench sees a further three possible debutants in England U18 captain Chris Walker, A team captain Oliver Stedman and scrum half Craig Hampson.
