Wood ban reduced, Yates banned for two games

A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

Wood was sent off during the Zurich Premiership match against Leicester at Welford Road on Saturday and was found guilty of stamping to the head when he appeared before an RFU disciplinary panel earlier this week.

However, his ban has now been reduced and he is free to resume playing on Christmas Eve.

Meanwhile Sale Sharks prop Kevin Yates was given a two-week suspension for stamping on an opponent by the panel.

Yates was cited after Sharks' recent Premiership game at London Irish and admitted stamping to the body.

He will be free to resume playing again on December 19.
