A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

For every point scored by Clive Woodward’s men, Zurich, sponsor of the England Team in Australia 2003, pledged to donate £10 to the fund which was set up to finance future youth development projects and for a statue/physical memorial in Nick’s memory at The Stoop, the home ground of NEC Harlequins.

England scored an impressive total of 327 points against their opponents in the tournament prompting a donation of £3,270 rounded up to £4,000 by Zurich.

The opponents and scores were Georgia (won 84-6), South Africa (won 25-6), Samoa (won 35-22) and Uruguay (won 111-13) in the pool stages. Wales (won 28-17) in the quarter final, France (won 24-7) in the semi final and Australia (won 20-17) in the final.

England Head Coach Clive Woodward commented “My thoughts are often with Nick, he was a great player, and I hope that he is looking down and enjoying what we are doing at the moment."
