Clive comes alive as Dawson returns

The Northampton scrum-half sat out Wednesday's session with a sore ankle as a precaution. But he was back at the base of the scrum as England went through their paces at their training base at Hale School in North Perth.

He is expected to take his place in the starting line-up on Sunday.

However, Iain Balshaw missed another session, after resting a knock on Wednesday.

Team management said on Thursday that the Bath fullback is still expected to take his place on the replacements bench at the Subiaco Oval.

"He's suffering from some discomfort in a calf muscle and missed the session as a precaution," said an England spokesman.
