Kit charity expands horizons

A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

Formerly SOS Romania-Kit Aid, SOS IRB-Kit Aid was originally founded nearly two years ago by John Broadfoot in an effort to re-cycle kit from UK schools and homes to be sent out to kids' rugby teams in cash-strapped Romania.

Now the charity has expanded to help out rugby teams in Georgia, Bulgaria and Moldova as well and hopes to repeat the success it has had in Romania where over 40 Romanian junior teams (80 percent of total) are now wearing/using SOS donated kit.

Previously suffering from a steady decline in junior players, Romania has now ceased the decline and and last season saw a 10 percent increase in player numbers.
