Bath look to extend winning streak

A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

But centre Alex Crockett has failed to recover from a knee injury picked up in the 24-6 victory over Northampton Saints at the Rec last Saturday and will be out for a couple of weeks.

Crockett has been in outstanding form in Bath's opening Zurich Premiership matches and will be sorely missed.

"It is a massive tragedy for him," said coach John Connolly.

"I feel very sorry for Alex because he has been playing extremely well recently. He's put down a bit of a marker for the guys who are off to the World Cup. We would like to wish him a speedy recovery."

The centre joins an extensive back line absentee list that includes Iain Balshaw, Mike Tindall, Kevin Maggs, Mike Catt and Simon Danielli (all World Cup), Andrew Higgins (hamstring) and Spencer Davey (foot).

But former England and Lions star Matt Perry has been named in the line-up at fullback after missing out against the Saints due to a slight thigh strain.

"It's good to have Matt Perry back, he brings a lot of experience to our backline. And it's a big bonus to be able to name an unchanged pack for the third week running," said Connolly.
