Zurich's Try for Charity campaign ensures that all Zurich Premiership hat-tricks will prompt a donation of £500 to go to each of the following charities – The Andy Blyth Benefit Trust, The Wooden Spoon Society, The Richard Langhorn Trust, The Jarrod Cunningham Fund and the Wavell Wakefield Youth Sports Trust.
Last season there were four hat-tricks – scored by Marcel Garvey and James Forrester of Gloucester, Simon Shaw of London Wasps and Brendon Daniel of Bristol Shoguns.
In the 2001/02 Season there were three hat-tricks scored and in the 2000/01 season there were 9 hat-tricks scored. As a consequence, Zurich have donated £34,000 over the last three season in support of the Zurich Try for Charity scheme.
