Rotherham Titans have made four changes to the side to face NEC Harlequins on Saturday following last week’s defeat at Kingsholm.
Colin Noon, Glen Kenworthy, Russell Earnshaw and Joe Ewens come into the team at the expense of Christian Loader, Dan Cook, Neil Spence and Jon Pritchard.
Chief Executive Jim Kilfoyle is confident that the Titans can build on the strengths of last week’s performance against Gloucester and knows how important it is that the Titans get off to a winning start on their home turf.
“While this week’s training has been geared towards rectifying the errors of last weekend, there were a lot of positives to be taken out of the game. The defence was able to handle most of what the leading try scorers of last year threw at us and the determination not to concede a second try showed immense squad character and resilience.“
“Quins will produce a different type of threat and after their excellent win against Wasps, confidence will be high. But, at the same time, it won’t be easy for them to come to Millmoor and they’ll have to show that they’ve put their troubles on the road firmly behind them.”
“This game is an immensely significant day for Rotherham Titans, your home form is crucial to survival and your first home match can influence the mood in any camp. Leeds and Newcastle lost at home last Sunday and we are determined that this is not going to be the start of our home season in the Zurich Premiership.”
