Gloucester blood new faces

The 'Cherry and Whites' line-up includes new signings Alex Brown, Paul Johnstone and Steve Brotherstone, who will pack down with regulars from last season, including Andy Deacon, Andy Hazell and Junior Paramore.

England Sevens international Simon Amor starts at scrum-half after impressing during the pre-season and will form a new half back partnership with Brad Davies, who makes his competitive debut along with Rory Teague at full-back.

Both Davies and Teague are products of the Gloucester Academy system and join fellow graduates Jon Goodridge and Marcel Garvey in the line-up for the first game of the season.

Terry Fanolua, who makes his final appearance for the 'Cherry and Whites' before joining up with the Samoan World Cup squad, will form a strong centre partnership with Henry Paul.

Coaches Nigel Melville and Dean Ryan will have options from the bench with James Forrester, Robert Todd and Mark Cornwell all lining up as replacements.
