A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

The Zurich England Rugby Send Off Dinner, which is scheduled for September 17, will see England supporters mingling with the likes of Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jonny Wilkinson for a unique occasion, dining on the Twickenham grass.

The entire England squad selected to compete Down Under are expected to be there, surrounded by well wishers enjoying a special four course dinner prepared by some of the country's finest chefs, including Richard Shepherd of Langans, Raymond Blanc of Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons and John Williams of Claridges.

The dinner on the pitch will also feature an auction in aid of Sport Relief and BBC Grandstand presenter Steve Rider will host the Zurich England Rugby Awards for the 2002/03 Season.

Providing entertainment will be British comedians Lenny Henry and Hugh Laurie performing with their band, while special guests include singers Lemar and Kwame Kwei-Armah from BBC's Celebrity Fame Academy.

But attending such a memorable occasion comes with a price with tickets being sold for £300 per person – although discounts are available for members of the England Rugby Supporters Club.
