Winger Danielli re-signs with Bath

Danielli, currently in a Polish training camp with Scotland's preliminary squad for RWC 2003, is delighted to have secured his immediate future at the Recreation Ground.

The 24-year-old former Oxford Blue joined Bath from local rivals Bristol some two years ago, having been a standout performer for England Under-18s in his early representative career, before opting to represent Scotland at senior level.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my two seasons here and I'm looking forward to the next two with our new coaching structure and all the new signings," Danielli told Bath's website.

"Already there is a positive mood amongst the lads, a real buzz of confidence, which is great. I can't wait for this season to kick-off."

Starting for Bath in 17 of their Zurich Premiership ties in 2002/03, Danielli scored a total of six tries during the season.

"We are naturally delighted," said Bath's Director of Rugby Jack Rowell. "He has made excellent progress since joining and after a debut season of learning in the Zurich Premiership, last season Simon took massive strides forward to cement his place in the side to finish as the club's top try-scorer."
