Saracens confirm friendly fixture against Agen

A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

Saracens have many ties with the famous French club who are based in the heartland of French rugby and played a similar pre-season fixture some three seasons ago.

The relationship was first established when Agen's most famous son – French hero Philippe Sella – joined Saracens back in 1996, while, more recently, former Agen and France skipper Abdel Benazzi had a stint with the Watford-based club.

Meanwhile, Saracens will come across another familiar face in Agen colours when they run out at Stade Armandie in August in the form of powerful French prop Christian Califano, the front rower leaving Vicarage Road for Agen at the end of last season.
