Drahm, the Australian utility back who joined from relegated Premiership side Bristol Shoguns and Kiwi Robinson, formerly of Auckland Warriors RL, are part of a strong squad which will compete in the tournaments on August 10 and August 17.

Also included are former New Zealand Sevens star Bruce Reihana, All Black flanker Andrew Blowers and England veteran Nick Beal, who will captain the side.

"This is the strongest squad available to us at this moment in time," said Northampton Sevens coach Paul Larkin.

"We want to use the International Henley Sevens as a stepping stone to launch the season. I would say this is the strongest sevens squad we have been able to put out since the beginning of the professional era. The later start to the season means we have had an extra couple of weeks in which to prepare."

Northampton Saints Sevens squad: Andrew Blowers, Darren Fox, Chris Hyndman, Ben Russell, Mark Tucker, James Brooks, Shane Drahm, Grant Seely, Nick Beal (captain), Johnny Howard, Jon Sleightholme, Bruce Reihana, Oriol Ripol, Mark Soden, Mark Robinson.
