The 35-year-old Hull joins the Exiles after a successful coaching stint with the Bristol Under-21 squad for the past three seasons that has earned him some high acclaim amongst his peers.

This includes London Irish Managing Director Conor O'Shea, who was extremely pleased with Hull's appointment.

"He is young and ambitious and ranks among the best coaches of his generation in this country," said O'Shea. "I'm very excited about what he will bring to this club."

As a player, Hull earned four Test caps for England and enjoyed an extensive playing career with Bristol that spanned from 1987 to 1999.

The Exiles have employed him to work primarily with the backline players, with senior coach Gary Gold working with the forwards.

Commenting on his move, Hull said that the move was a fantastic chance for him to enhance his coaching skills at the highest level, adding: "The club is ambitious and has talented players, especially among its backs.

"I am really looking forward to the challenge."
