The powerful player has signed a three-year deal, following his successful conversion from the second row to the front row and follows Phil Christophers (Leeds), Garath Archer (Newcastle) and Alec Brown (Gloucester) out of the Bristol RFC door.
Sharks coach Jim Mallinder said of his new arrival: "Andrew is still only 23 years old, and he is the sort of player we have been searching for to add to our squad."
He joins the likes of Scotland back five forward Jason White and South African centre Braam van Straaten in joining the club for next season, following them narrowly missing out on the Zurich Premiership play-offs after their fourth-place finish.
