Line-ups announced for charity matches

A Gallagher Premiership Rugby ball

In true Barbarian style, not only will there be some entertaining, free-flowing rugby on offer, but the benefit matches will raise funds for two extremely worthwhile causes.

The first match – on March 6 – will raise money for The Jarrod Cunningham SALSA Foundation, the charity started by former London Irish player Cunnigham who was diagnosed in June last year with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) a strain of Motor Neurone Disease.

Then, the following day, the Barbarians will appear at Welford Road against a Leiceter XV as part of England's flanker Neil Back's Testimonial season.

The proceeds from that game will be split with the families of two police officers who were killed in Leicestershire last year when their stationary marked patrol car was hit by a van on the A42 in the county.
