Woodman to make Gloucester return

The club might also have to recall back Chris Catling, presently on loan to Worcester, depending on the outcome of the disciplinary hearing of centre Robert Todd, who was cited for a reckless tackle on Saracens' Kyran Bracken a few weeks ago.

Gloucester come up against Leicester in their Powergen Cup semi-final match and it is expected that Woodman will start from the bench. Vickery, on the other hand, continues to be troubled with his back injury and will more than likely miss the rest of England's Six Nations campaign.

Gloucester Director of Coaching Nigel Melville said that Woodman had participated in his first contact-session last week and there is a strong chance he would be in the line-up for the weekend's game.

According to reports, Vickery will be paying a visit to his consultant surgeon Richard Nelson who will make another assessment on the progress of his back injury.

"Trevor did his first contact session on Friday and there is a good chance he will be in the line-up," Melville told the British Press Association.
