Putt has included six new Super 12 caps in his squad – flanks Roland Bernard and Luke Watson, hooker Gary Botha, scrumhalf Neil Powell, wing Wylie Human and utility back Brent Russell.
Bernard and Powell were drafted from the Cats' region, while Botha and Human were drafted from the Bulls' squad. Botha was drafted as Sharks squad captain John Smit is struggling with a shoulder injury.
Watson, a SA Sevens player and last year's SA Under-19 skipper, and Russell, who exploded onto the Test arena last year at flyhalf and fullback, are two of the Sharks' new signings for the 2003 season.
