The Format
J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s Series 2011
The J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s Series 2011 will involve three regional events on Friday 15th July, Friday 22nd July and Friday 29th July, at venues to be confirmed shortly, and a final on Friday 5th August at the Twickenham Stoop. The 12 Premiership Rugby clubs will be split into three groups for the tournament, with the winner and runner up of each regional event going through to the final:
Week 1: Friday, 15th July
- Venue: Bath Rugby (The Recreation Ground)
- Pool: Bath Rugby, Gloucester Rugby, Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs
Week 2: Friday, 22nd July
- Venue: Northampton Saints (Franklin's Gardens)
- Pool: Northampton Saints, Saracens, London Wasps, London Irish
Week 3: Friday, 29th July
- Venue: Sale Sharks (Edgeley Park)
- Pool: Sale Sharks, Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers, Leeds Carnegie
There will be six games each evening, with each match consisting of two 7 minute halves with a 2 minute break at half-time. Games will start at 7.30pm and finish by 10pm and will include music and entertainment making each event an exciting summer evening out for families.
