Wasps simply ripped Leeds to shreds during the opening twenty minutes, during which they scored two tries.
Tom Rees set up the first, the flanker collecting a pop pass from Alex King and then sending the ball via Lawrence Dallaglio to Tom Voyce, who raced in at the corner.
He also set up the second, this time delivering a fine scoring pass for Ayoola Erinle to drift outside his opposite number for the try.
In between, Leeds youngster David Doherty had notched the Tykes' first points with a penalty, but in the 29th minute Alex King cancelled that out with one of his own.
King had swiftly taken over the kicking duties from Mark Van Gisbergen, who had missed the opening conversions.
Erinle and Voyce paid back their debts to Rees on the stroke of the break, combining with Van Gisbergen to send the 21-year-old flanker in for Wasps' third, and King's conversion saw Wasps 20-3 up at the break.
Leeds coach Phil Davies, made three half-time changes, and Leeds cam out a different team, and after some patient build-up play, prop Matt Holt crossed the whitewash for the Tykes.
Doherty's conversion put the Tykes well and truly back in the game, and with twelve minutes remaining, Holt's front-row companion Mike Shelley was driven over for his first Zurich Premiership try, putting the Tykes within touching distance at 20-15.
Van Gisbergen gave Wasps breathing space with another penalty though and Wasps claimed the bonus point when replacement hooker Leota crashed over under the posts for Van Gisbergen to convert, leaving the final score 30-15.
