Wasps ease past struggling Bath

It was six minutes into the second half before Bath even registered a point, and by then they were 23-0 down.

That was courtesy of tries from England back rower Joe Worsley and South African centre Stuart Abbott, with the boot of fly-half Alex King adding two conversions, a penalty and a drop-goal.

Bath finally sprang into life with a try from Scotland wing Simon Danielli – Olly Barkley converting, before adding a penalty.

But Wasps did not take their foot off the gas, and two further penalties from King kept the scoreboard ticking over, before a try from wing John Rudd sealed the visitors' fate, Mark van Gisbergen converting after King had added a second drop-goal.

Bath did manage a try through Welsh scrum-half Gareth Cooper in the dying minutes, but by then the game was well beyond coach Michael Foley's side, who now find themselves deep in the relegation struggle.
