The Titans got off to a strong start after holding the Tigers at bay for the better part of the first half, and then opening the scoring with a try to former Samoan fullback Mike Umaga. Fly-half Phil Jones failed to put over the conversion, however, and the No.10s kicking proved to be the difference on the day.
Pez then took control of proceedings for the remainder of the half, beginning with a penalty in the 36th minute to close the gap to just two.
The former Italian pivot then picked up his try on the stroke of half-time and stretched the lead going into the break to five with the conversion.
The Tigers came out firing in the second half and American flanker Dan Lyle picked up their second try of the afternoon six minutes after the break. Pez again slotted the conversion.
Rotherham refused to roll over though as Anthony Elliot crossed over for their second try not long after, but again Jones failed with the conversion.
Tigers' former England utility Austin Healy then went over and Pez duly converted, but the Titans were awarded a penalty try close on 70 minutes and fullback Jon Benson converted to close the gap.
But a Pez penalty seven minutes from time kept the game out of Rotherham's reach.
Unfortunately for the Titans so was the bonus point.
