With Gloucester, the current table-toppers currently on 71 points from 19 matches, virtually assured of automatic qualification for the one-off Twickenham Final and the Sharks (58 points from 19 games) and London Wasps (57 points from 19 matches) next on the Premiership table, Tigers Director of Rugby would be a worried man.
Leicester have 50 points from 19 Premiership matches and would need to make up points on the Sharks and Wasps in the final few rounds of actions, while Northampton Saints and Leeds Tykes are right behind them on the standings, having played just 18 matches each.
The visitors led by 9-5 at the break, with Tigers fullback Tim Stimpson kicked his three penalties within the first half-hour of the match, while all Quins had to show for themselves in the first 40 minutes was a 25th minute score by left-wing Ben Gollings.
Burke added three second-half penalties and one drop-goal, giving his side enough of a lead, with Harlequins captain and former Springbok back rower André Vos leading their brave defensive effort.
