Gloucester end on a high

Gloucester now face either London Wasps or Northampton in the Zurich Premiership Final on May 31 at Twickenham, and go into the match in sound on-field health after this four-try showing.

South African Thinus Delport crossed the line as early as the eighth minute for coach Nigel Melville's men, with wing Tom Beim grabbing their second after Samoan Fereti Tuilagi had score Leicester'e one-and-only try two minutes earlier.

Scrum-half Andy Gomarsall and Samoan centre Terry Fanolua helped themselves to second-half tries for Gloucester, with Grenoble-bound fly-half Ludovic Mercier converting all four tries in his Kingsholm farewell before heading home to France.

While table-toppers Gloucester have silverware to think of, Leicester face the relative humiliation of having to fight through the Zurich Wildcard play-offs to book a place in next season's Heineken Cup, facing Harlequins at home on May 18.
