Bristol beaten as Sharks keep on swimming

Cueto opened the Sharks’ account after only ten minutes with a try, Nick Walshe booting over the first of his eventual ten points on the night with the conversion.

While Australian fly-half Shane Drahm kept the Shoguns’ score ticking over with three penalties, it was his countryman Graeme Bond for the home side who was to score the next try, crossing the line with half an hour still left on the clock.

Peter Richards gave Bristol a shout when he crossed for their sole try seven minutes later, but with Sharks subsequently registering a third try through Steve Hanley and a late Bond drop-goal, Bristol’s fate was sealed.
