Booth found himself in a kicking dual with Sharks-bound Leeds star Braam van Straaten, but it was the Tigers man who was to have the last laugh, as he nailed five penalties to secure all of his side's points.
All of those came in the first half, one which also saw Leeds' tough Samoan wing George Harder score the only try of the match, that coming midway through the half after Van Straaten had successfully struck two penalties.
Two further second-half penalties from the South African came, but a 51st minute effort from Australian fly-half Craig McMullen sealed the match for the home side, who survived the sin-binning of back rower Martin Corry against a Leeds side who had humbled the champions earlier in the season at Headingley
